Ms. Baldi is a Senior Automation Engineer focusing on the development of assays and workflows in the Molecular Pathology Department at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Originally a New Englander, Tessara was pre-med at UMass Amherst and after an inspiring Genetics 101 class, she transferred to UConn and graduated with a BS in Molecular Diagnostics. In her 10+ year career at MSKCC, Tessara has led department-wide projects in automated sample storage, validated the automation of several high-throughput NGS Assays inlcuding MSK-IMPACT and IMPACT-ACCESS, and has played a key role in the automation of peripheral laboratory workflows to improve TAT and efficiency.
Tessara is a co-founder of the Laboratory Robotics Interest Group NYC Chapter, a non-profit seeking to connect automation professionals in the City and is currently serving as one of the Technical Topics Representatives on AMP's Program Committee.
