Description: This Breakout session will provide members with a background on the driving forces for biobanking globally, and the utility of biorepository networks in the field of Pathology. Experienced leaders from Mayo Clinic and National Cancer Institute will discuss various biobanking models, their growing contribution to development in precision and translational medicine, and the role we all play in the biobanking continuum. Through this presentation, members will discover how biobanking logistics and ethics have been shaped throughout history and by laboratory automation, digitization, and machine learning.
