    Michele Amasio obtained his Ph.D. in Cell, Molecular, and Industrial Biology from the University of Bologna in 2009, investigating glycoproteins' role in HSV-1 entry into host cells. After working for Promega and Base4Innovation, 9 years ago joined Meridian Life Science. Here, as a Sr. R&D Manager, he is now leading the development of innovative molecular reagents for several applications, including qPCR, isothermal amplification technologies and Next-Generation Sequencing. These products are widely utilized in the global diagnostic industry as essential components of in-vitro diagnostic kits.
