This session will explore the incidental detection, interpretation, and clinical significance of variants attributed to clonal hematopoiesis in during germline and somatic testing. Attendees will gain insights into the diagnostic challenges associated with distinguishing between germline and somatic variants, and the clinical implications for patient management.
Learning Objectives: 1. Understand the molecular basis of clonal hematopoiesis 2. Identify the challenges in distinguishing between germline and somatic variants and learn strategies to address these challenges in clinical practice. 3. Gain knowledge on the impact of clonal hematopoiesis on patient diagnosis, risk stratification, and treatment decisions.
