Dr. Meenakshi Mehrotra, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology, Molecular and Cell-Based Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She also serves as the Assistant Director of the Clinical Molecular Pathology Lab at Mount Sinai Health System in New York. Dr. Mehrotra is certified as a High-Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director (HCLD) by the American Board of Bioanalysis (ABB). Her postdoctoral training was completed at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical genomics and molecular diagnostics. Dr. Mehrotra is actively involved in the development and implementation of comprehensive clinical genomic assays that aid in cancer diagnosis and treatment. She has played a key role in establishing multiple sequencing-based assays using novel technologies for profiling both hematologic and solid tumors, as well as monitoring minimal residual disease through liquid biopsies. Her expertise lies in the evaluation and validation of diagnostic platforms, with applications in oncology for both clinical and investigational purposes. She is also engaged in clinical and translational studies, contributing to advancements in personalized cancer treatment.
