Brian Haynes joined Asuragen, a Bio-Techne brand, in November 2012 and is currently the Chief Scientific Officer and Head of Bioinformatics for the Molecular Diagnostics Division of Bio-Techne. In his current role, he oversees assay technology, bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, software engineering, diagnostic test development and partnered biopharma R&D. In his career, he has directed the development of more than a dozen molecular diagnostic products and services. His accomplishments include the conception and development of the Reporter Software, which enables sample-to-answer resulting for 9 kitted diagnostic kits. He is an author on nearly 20 peer-reviewed publications and an inventor on 7 patents. Brian received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis, where he was an NHGRI Genome Analysis Training Program Fellowship recipient and recognized by the Spencer T. and Ann W. Olin Award for superior achievement in biomedical research.
