Molecular Diagnostics Fellow
Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center
Lebanon, New Hampshire, United States
Lauren recently finished the Molecular Diagnostics Fellowship in the Laboratory for Clinical Genomics and Advanced Technologies at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. She currently works in the cytogenetics and genomics section of the laboratory. She is active in overseeing the clinical testing in the cytogenetics laboratory, ensuring regulatory compliance, and the day-to-day laboratory function. Lauren’s research responsibilities include designing experiments, writing IRB proposals, obtaining clinical samples and obtaining data for studies in hematology, metagenomics, and long read sequencing technology.
Before coming to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lauren obtained her PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from University of Connecticut in 2022. During her PhD, Lauren applied nascent RNA sequencing methods to examine enhancer function in diseases such as Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and Cutaneous T-cell Lymphoma. She learned both bench techniques and computational analysis.
