Manoj Sah, a certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), and a recipient of the ASM Future Leaders Mentoring Fellowship 2023. He is a 4th year Ph.D. in Health Sciences student at UT Health San Antonio. With over a decade of experience across India, Nepal, Japan, and the USA, he has uncovered his professional place in the Department of Clinical Microbiology and Special Procedure at Texas Health Resources, Texas. Mr. Sah's previous research for a master's degree explored nosocomial infection and molecular characterization of multidrug-resistant bacteria with the discovery of a novel mechanism of the carbapenem-resistant gene NDM-8 from Nepal. His research interests comprise the clinical diagnosis of microbial pathogens, antibiotics-resistant mechanisms, mycobacteria, and the development, validation, and verification of molecular diagnostic assays.
