Boston, Massachusetts, United States
Dr. Arezou Ghazani is a faculty member at Harvard Medical School, a board-certified medical geneticist (ABMGG), and the Director of Clinical Genomics at Brigham Genomic Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital. In her clinical role, Dr. Ghazani has led the development and implementation of several genomic programs, platforms, and methods for advanced clinical interpretation of genomes and complex structures. Her passion for bridging scientific advances with current clinical needs has led to the establishing of the INT²GRATE | Oncology Consortium. This multi-institutional consortium has several novel programs aimed at leveraging tumor-derived signature profiles and clinical genetic information to identify clinically actionable germline alterations in cancer patients. Dr. Ghazani also runs a translational research laboratory at Brigham and Women's Hospital focused on large-scale genome data analysis in pediatric cohorts with rare genetic conditions and long read sequencing in cancer. The overall goal is to incorporate comprehensive genomic information into routine patient care.
