Chuan Gao, PhD, serves as an Assistant Attending Geneticist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in New York City. At MSKCC, he is responsible for identifying and interpreting germline genetic alterations, and contributes to the development of personalized care for patients. His research interests focus on the contributions of germline variants to cancer development, diagnosis, and prognosis.
Prior to joining MSKCC, Dr. Gao received his doctoral degree in Molecular Genetics and Genomics from Wake Forest University, followed by postdoctoral training at the Regeneron Genetics Center. He then completed his Laboratory Genetics and Genomics fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
