Dr. Bing Melody Zhang is board-certified by American Board of Pathology in Molecular Genetic Pathology. Dr. Zhang completed Clinical Pathology residency, Molecular Genetic Pathology fellowship, Clinical Genomics as well as HLA Director training at Stanford University School of Medicine. She is currently a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at Stanford University and Associate Section Director of the Molecular Pathology lab at Stanford Health Care. She currently serves as the Chair of Biochemical and Molecular Genetics Committee of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), AMP Representative to the BLOODPAC MRD Analytical Validation Working Group, and a member on the ClinGen Platelet Disorders Variant Curation Expert Panel. Her main research interests include both somatic and germline testing for malignant and non-malignant hematologic disorders, AML MRD testing, NGS-based T/B cell clonality/MRD testing, and HLA testing.
