Parsa Hodjat is an assistant director of molecular genetic pathology laboratory at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, and assistant professor of Pathology at University of Cincinnati. He completed residency in anatomic and clinical pathology in 2020 followed by fellowship training in molecular genetic pathology and clinical informatics at Houston Methodist Hospital (HMH). He briefly served as an associate director of the medical microbiology laboratory at HMH, with additional roles in clinical informatics and NGS bioinformatics development. His current clinical focus is on molecular diagnostics in pediatric neoplasms, as well as utilizing novel NGS and bioinformatics approaches in infectious diseases. His professional interests include advancing the use bioinformatic algorithms in extracting novel findings from sequencing data and promoting the use of pathology informatics to solve some of the more difficult challenges in the world of Pathology. His publications include his work in both oncology and infectious disease aspects of molecular pathology, as well as the use of clinical informatics tools such as machine learning in developing diagnostic/prognostic adjuncts for clinical practice.
