Description: This session will review the current status of the identification of acquired variants in genetic testing for inherited disorders. It will provide insights into the challenges associated with such incidental findings and will address the current American College for Medical Genetics and Genomics (ACMG) considerations for assessing germline variants in the context of incidental findings of acquired variants (PMID: 33864022).
