The talk will discuss disparities in the development of and access to genetic testing and molecular diagnostics for cancer, examining inequities within countries such as the US and among nations. Efforts to promote equity at the level of research, development of genetic tests, and access to molecular diagnostics in the clinic will also be presented.
After the talk, participants will be able to recognize and assess inequities in molecular testing in various clinical and health system contexts. Participants will also be able to appraise strategies that may galvanize more equitable cancer care across the disease continuum.
