Description: In this session, an overview of advances in infectious diseases diagnostics over the last three decades will be presented. The seminar will cover classic stain- and culture-based diagnostics, proteomics and advanced molecular diagnostics for direct detection of microorganisms, as well as advanced host response assessment.
